Conceptual idea

Our purpose is to create a flexible surrounding space for multifunctional usage that can be a center of native people/visitors and social relation activity. In addition, We choose a simple but unique material that available in region for example woods and local cloth merges with specific materials given by YAC. When these materials integrate with our design and objective, Our project will become a unique local innovative thinking that will increase social relation through our efficiency socializing space.

1.Earth wall and Ghana kente cloth decor.

In this part we want to emphasize in design and user experience. We using a Ghana kente cloth as a wall curtain. This curtain can be both decorative and create more privacy. We also have the rectangle earth wall in outdoor multifunctional space for hiding a transportation view from outside of this community area.

2.Wall door

There are three classrooms with a capacity of 20 persons per room. But for more flexible space instead of a regular wall , We had design 2 wall doors to separate each room which allows you to adjusting the size of the classroom depend on different activity or group of people.

3.The outdoor pavilion

The outdoor pavilion for multifunctional usage with an available local materials. We intend to use this pavilion as a boundary mark between pedestrian and vehicle way.

4.The earth wall and The outdoor pavilion construction.

Instead of bricks , We use a waste tires from crops truck (Approximately 3,800 tires). Tire constructions allow tires to be reused by overlapping and filling them with earth.

5.Interconnect buildings space

According to an interconnect building space that exist. We add sunshade roof in this area for multifunction usage.

6.Canteen / Cafeteria

Not only for dining and social relations, but we also create a stage at the connecting side between canteen and community space for local tradition show or any public purpose. We use Ghana kente cloth as a partition and backdrop of this multipurpose stage too.

มันเกิดขึ้นในขั้นตอนไหน?

มันถูกออกแบบให้เกิดขึ้นตลอดในช่วงระหว่างที่มีการเปลี่ยนโปรแกรมการใช้งาน จาก A ไป B หรือจาก B ไป C มันไม่ได้มีความต่อเนื่องอีกต่อไป มันจะถูกคั่นด้วยโปรแกรมที่แตกต่างออกไปจากแบบแผนเดิมของสายพานการผลิตแบบโรงงาน ซึ่งมันไม่ใช่โปรแกรมที่ใหม่หรือสลับซับซ้อนอะไร แต่มันเป็นพื้นที่ใช้สอยที่แรงงานท้องถิ่นคุ้นเคย และอบอุ่นใจทุกครั้งที่เข้ามาใช้พื้นที่เหล่านั้น

การมาถึงของวัสดุท้องถิ่น ซึ่งไม่ได้ถือเป็นเรื่องใหม่อะไรอีกแล้ว แต่การร้อยเรียงจังหวะ และสื่อสารกระบวนการเกิดขึ้นของตัววัสดุเหล่านั้นต่างหากกลับเป็นเรื่องที่งานชิ้นนี้ต้องคอยระแวดระวัง เพราะมันคือการเข้าไปทำความเข้าใจกับภาษาทางวัฒนธรรมของอีกทวีปหนึ่งที่ห่างไกล และมีความแตกต่างอย่างมากในแง่ของสภาพแวดล้อมทางธรรมชาติอีกด้วย
